The DVD drive allows you to record onto, as well as play back a wide variety of standard definition disc formats. The Freeview plus feature allows you to pause and rewind live TV. The area where the DMRXW380 stands out from the crowd is in its tuners. The XW380 boasts twin Freeview HD tuners, with the ability to record high definition content onto the HDD. With Freeview HD, you can access a wide range of free-to-air TV channels, including selected HD channels such as BBC HD and ITV HD. Availability of Freeview HD is subject to area coverage. Coverage can be checked at the official Freeview HD website. The DMR-XW380 DVD HDD Recorded makes use of the Panasonic High Definition Chroma Processor, for superb video processing and image clarity. DLNA certification allows you to connect to your home network and stream movie and image files to other sources. With the Jukebox feature, you can rip music CD's onto the hard drive and access to the Gracenote database allows you to gain track info instantly.
