Used Sony DSR-70 DVCAM Dual Digital Video Cassette Recorder Editing System. Working when removed from University A/V Department. Note: Closing cover latch on right side not latching and plastic cover on back missing. Capable of incorporating digital or hybrid analog systems, the DSR70 is an all-in-one portable editing recorder with a 6.4 inch LCD monitor, audio speaker, jog/shuttle dial and edit function keys. This versatile VTR not only allows full editing of the DVCAM format, but when docked to a Betacam SX portable VTR, the combination becomes a scalable laptop editing solution that performs full-featured VTR-to-VTR edits with DV, DVCAM, Betacam SX and Betacam SP format tapes. This feature makes it ideal for ENG applications where video is acquired from multiple sources. The DSR70 has an SDI digital interface, allowing a direct connection with Betacam SX VTRs and an RS-422 remote interface used for professional editing. NOTE: Optional interface boards (DSBK-140/150/160/170) cannot be used in combination with each other. However, these boards can be used together with the optional DSBK-180 Dual Video Input Board. Features: The DSR70 employs the DVCAM format, which uses eight-bit digital component recording with a 5:1 compression ratio and a sampling rate of 4:1:1 to provide high picture quality and superb multigeneration performance.

The PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) digital stereo recording system of the DSR70 also offers superior audio performance with a wide dynamic range and an excellent signal-to-noise ratio, comparable to CD quality audio.
